Haiti Watch
Amnesty International is calling on the Haitian government to do more to tackle the widespread rape of girls, often by gangs of armed men. Amongst other things, Amnesty reports that 55% of the 105 rapes reported so far this year were of girls aged under 18.
Read a BBC report on the situation here or, better yet, read Amnesty's extensive report on the subject here.

Sad news.
Hello Dan,
I would like to invite you to write a post on racial harmony and healing, if time permits. Here's the description:
We would like to launch a series of posts on racial reconciliation and harmony during the month of December. Preferably we would like the issue of "racial unity" be addressed and examined from a biblical/christian perspective, but other perspectives are also welcome. Please let me know if you wish to participate in this project. We're looking for christian bloggers and other people interested in sharing their thoughts on racial healing. We would love to have the articles posted on this blog by December 25, which means you need to submit your post to me by December 21. We welcome long and short articles/posts. If you're interested, please leave me a note or drop me an email at celucien_joseph@ yahoo.com or celucienjoseph@hotmail.com
Blessings,
Lou
